What is NTEP certification and why does it matter?
NTEP (National Type Evaluation Program) certification means FairPick has been tested and approved by the National Conference on Weights and Measures for legal-for-trade weighing. This ensures your piece-rate calculations are accurate and legally defensible—critical for fair pay and compliance.
What crops does FairPick work with?
FairPick is designed for any piece-rate harvested crop including berries, tree fruit, grapes, vegetables, and more. We configure the system for your specific units (pounds, flats, bins, etc.).
Does it work without cell service?
Yes. The mobile app stores data locally and syncs automatically when connectivity is restored. Your harvest data is never lost.
How do pickers get their receipts?
Portable thermal printers produce receipts immediately after each weigh-in. Pickers get a record of every pick with their ID, weight, time, and calculated piece-rate.
Can I use our existing scales?
In some cases, yes. We support integration with many commercial scale models. However, for NTEP compliance, the scale must meet certification requirements. Contact us to confirm compatibility with your equipment.
What happens to our historical data?
